Summary: build fails unconditionally if HAVE_UINTPTR_T is not
set, which gets set nowhere
Product: gdb
Version: 7.2
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: build
AssignedTo: unassigned@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: wkor97gy0eef1fr@p.mintemail.com
In file included from linux-thread-db.c:26:
gdb_thread_db.h:211:2: #error No uintptr_t available; your C library is too
old.
gdb_thread_db.h:213:1: warning: "uintptr_t" redefined
it seems that glibc sets that. but musl libc doesn't and no standard says that
it has to define HAVE_UINTPTR_T
to fix, please change the line
#ifndef HAVE_UINTPTR_T
to
#ifndef uintptr_t
or check if it is available in the configure script and set the HAVE_ flag when
it is available.
