Bug #: 15258
Summary: -ex and -iex executed commands don't print time/space
stats or call bpstat_do_actions
Product: gdb
Version: HEAD
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: cli
AssignedTo: unassigned@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: dje@google.com
Classification: Unclassified
Commands executed with the -x and -ix command line options take a code path
that does this:
make_command_stats_cleanup (1);
execute_command (command, instream == stdin);
/* Do any commands attached to breakpoint we are stopped at. */
bpstat_do_actions ();
do_cleanups (old_chain);
Commands executed with the -ex and -iex command line options do not because
execute_command is called directly:
case CMDARG_INIT_COMMAND:
catch_command_errors (execute_command, cmdarg_p->string,
!batch_flag, RETURN_MASK_ALL);
case CMDARG_COMMAND:
catch_command_errors (execute_command, cmdarg_p->string,
!batch_flag, RETURN_MASK_ALL);
The difference in behaviour feels like a bug.
