Watchpoint 3: -location v
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
(gdb) p sizeof (v)
$1 = 24

And it really singlesteps after 'continue'.

The example of comment 1 is working since version 8.2, because of this commit:

Actually the example of comment #2 also works since 8.2, so I'm closing this.
