This feels unintuitive enough to be a bug.

(gdb) p/t 57
$1 = 111001
(gdb) p 57
$2 = 57
(gdb) p/r 57
$3 = 111001 .... Eh?

Why print $3 in binary if a plain "p 57" prints in decimal?
