Eigler --- The addition of debuginfod capability has made this problem more acute, in = the sense that now that gdb can download dwarf on the fly, it will do so, and t= ake its sweet time! Consider a GUI program with hundreds of shared libraries. As soon as it starts, gdb will proactively download all that dwarf for all shared librari= es, even before the user does anything that would strictly require it.
