to be
fixed as of
https://sourceware.org/git/?p=3Dbinutils-gdb.git;a=3Dcommitdiff;h=3D7ff9170=

Maybe try compiling GDB from the current master, and report back here if you
still get the hang ?

Note that if compiling with Clang, you'll want to configure with
'--disable-unit-tests' for the time being
