Fredrik,

finally I found that exc_return is false in case of ARMv8m lockup (PC
0xeffffffe),
so your code also can stop unwinding (with twice printed warning):

(gdb) bt
warning: no thread stack unwinding supported in Lockup.

Backtrace stopped: previous frame identical to this frame (corrupt stack?)
