inferior_command does:
num = parse_and_eval_long (args);
which I suppose allows a pointer to be converted to an integer.
It looks like there are other calls that have this same problem.
We'd have to examine all the calls (there are a surprising number)
to see if converting this function to be more strict would be ok.
