Say we enter gdb, and type "foo" (indicating cursor with ^):
...
(gdb) foo
         ^
...

Then we enter tui using C-x 1, and we have:
...
(gdb) 
      ^
...

After typing "tui disable" or C-x a to leave the TUI mode, and we have:
...
(gdb) foo
      ^
...

The "foo" string is not part of the readline buffer, if we do ^L it's gone.

It probably shouldn't be there in the first place after exiting TUI.
