introduced several regressions on arm:

FAIL: gdb.python/py-missing-objfile.exp: initial sanity check: whatis
global_exec_var
FAIL: gdb.python/py-missing-objfile.exp: initial sanity check: whatis
global_lib_var

where gdb.log says:
whatis global_exec_var
type = volatile exec_type
(gdb) FAIL: gdb.python/py-missing-objfile.exp: initial sanity check: whatis
global_exec_var

(gdb) FAIL: gdb.python/py-missing-objfile.exp: initial sanity check: whatis

These two appear when using the system's GCC, but when using trunk GCC, there
are a few additional failures:
