From: "tromey at sourceware dot org" <sourceware-bugzilla@sourceware.org> To: gdb-prs@sourceware.org Subject: [Bug exp/8820] floating point values in non-decimal bases print wrong value Date: Sat, 18 Feb 2023 00:13:27 +0000 [thread overview] Message-ID: <bug-8820-4717-qU8JalDC7j@http.sourceware.org/bugzilla/> (raw) In-Reply-To: <bug-8820-4717@http.sourceware.org/bugzilla/> https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8820 Tom Tromey <tromey at sourceware dot org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |tromey at sourceware dot org --- Comment #2 from Tom Tromey <tromey at sourceware dot org> --- First, as reported here: (gdb) print 20.0 $1 = 20 ... seems lame. It should print the .0 as well, IMO. Second, I wonder if it even makes sense to have output-radix for floating-point values. Maybe we should treat it the way we now treat "print/x" -- that is, show the underlying bytes using the radix. Of course, this is even more confusing & kind of useless, sort of underscoring that output-radix isn't really a good feature (IMNSHO) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
