I am putting this info on the mailing list for informative purposes. Hi Denis, I have spoken to the developers and what they said was even if the library is called gdb, there is no gdb interpretor in it. This library is only a wrapper that will link the gdb interpretor in the hostShell. The GDB commands are implemented in Tcl and can be found under foundation\resource\windsh\Generic\tcl\gdbInterp directory. That is we don't use GDB as the way we use in VxWorks 5.5. In VxWorks 6.0 we just have GDB commands implemented in TCL to debug from the host shell. This can be launched from the host shell as a gdb interpreter & Workbench is using gdb under the bonnet. D.J. Barrow Linux kernel developer eMail: dj_barrow@ariasoft.ie Home: +353-22-47196.
