Is there any support for a cross-compile with target
powerpc-motorola-psos available? If not, could you point me to
information detailing what's involved in creating the support?

Not that I'm aware of. Perhaps specifying powerpc-eabi would work?
(Actually, I'm doubtful, but it's worth a try -- you would need a
suitable stub on the target, of course.)
