I came across this gem in config/mips/irix4.mh:
# use cc in K&R mode, bump up some static compiler tables.
CC = cc -cckr ...
I'd conclude from this that, ever since 5.0, GDB hasn't built on IRIX 4.
Consequently I'm planning on blowing away support for this system.
