When using the following configure line,
../configure --without-cvs --with-elf --enable-kernel=2.6.5 --disable-hidden-plt
--enable-add-ons --enable-bounded --enable-shared
(that is, the same as the previous bug report but now without --with-tls)
I get this compile error:
gcc ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/init-first.c -c -std=gnu99 -O2 -Wall -Winline
-Wstrict-prototypes -Wwrite-strings -g -g -O2 -fno-optimize-sibling-calls

When your compiler doesn't support bounded pointers, you obviously shouldn't
configure glibc with --enable-bounded.
