From: "redhat at elektrono dot com" <sourceware-bugzilla@sources.redhat.com> To: glibc-bugs@sources.redhat.com Subject: [Bug libc/289] New: Mandatory use of xdrec_skiprecord undocumented Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2004 16:14:00 -0000 [thread overview] Message-ID: <20040728161411.289.redhat@elektrono.com> (raw) I have spent about 15 hours debugging xdrrec streams, and finally came across my problem when reading xdr_rec.c. In a comment before xdrrec_skiprecord(), it mentions that this function should be called before trying to use the stream. In fact, this record must be called otherwise reading from the stream will always fail. I strongly encourage you to point this out in the rpc/xdr.h header file, so it saves some programmer some time in the future. -- Summary: Mandatory use of xdrec_skiprecord undocumented Product: glibc Version: 2.3.2 Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: libc AssignedTo: gotom at debian dot or dot jp ReportedBy: redhat at elektrono dot com CC: glibc-bugs at sources dot redhat dot com http://sources.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=289 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
