[Bug libc/4990] New: Compilation of glibc 2.6.1 for the ppc_440 target fails

Compilation of glibc for the AMCC PowerPC 440GX CPU aborts with an error. This
is probably related to the fact that the PPC440GX CPU does not have an FPU.

Compilation output:

Patch that rearranges Implies files such that glibc 2.6.1 compiles for ppc_440.

For PPCs without FPU you need ports addons.

With the line --enable-add-ons=nptl,glibc-ports-2.6.1 in the glibc configure
script compilation takes longer but still fails (see also the fourth attachment
for the full compilation output):

I just obtained the glibc sources from CVS, and these compile again for the
ppc_440 target (Sep 27 12:10 CEST 2007). Thanks !
