Some packages install .py files and ldconfig complains:
/sbin/ldconfig: /opt/gnu/lib/libisl.so.6.0.0-gdb.py is not an ELF file - it has
the wrong magic bytes at the start.
I think ldconfig should ignore them silently.

I think it's just plain wrong to place these scripts in the lib directories. The mechanisms gdb uses to locate them allow the files to be placed anywhere.
