Bug #: 13786
Summary: strcasecmp_l, strncasecmp_l act as strcmp for
multiarch x86 (localedata/tst-xlocale1 fails)
Product: glibc
Version: 2.15
Status: NEW
Keywords: glibc_2.15
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: libc
AssignedTo: jsm28@gcc.gnu.org
ReportedBy: jsm28@gcc.gnu.org
CC: carlos@systemhalted.org, drepper.fsp@gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
Host: i686-pc-linux-gnu
Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
Build: i686-pc-linux-gnu
With multiarch enabled x86 builds of glibc, used on systems without SSSE3, the
test localedata/tst-xlocale1 fails because strcasecmp_l and strncasecmp_l are
wrongly implemented through an assembly implementation of strcmp that is not
prepared to implement those functions. I'll send a patch to libc-alpha. This
issue applies to both master and 2.15 branch.
