Bug ID: 16245
Summary: Typo in sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sys/ptrace.h.
Product: glibc
Version: 2.19
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: libc
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: carlos at redhat dot com
CC: drepper.fsp at gmail dot com
In sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sys/ptrace.h the constant PTRACE_EVENT_SECCOMP is
incorrectly spelled as PTRAVE_EVENT_SECCOMP with a "V" instead of a "C".
This results in user code not compiling correctly when going from using the
Linux kernel header linux/ptrace.h to using the glibc header sys/ptrace.h or
when trying to use PTRACE_EVENT_SECCOMP.
There is no ABI issue in renaming the event since old applications continue to
work.
Compiling new applications will reuqire you to use the right name e.g. you can
no longer use PTRAVE_EVENT_SECCOMP.
