That documention still mentioned LinuxThreads, so it's been out of date for
about 18 years. The =E2=80=9Cmake install=E2=80=9D command mentioned there =
doesn't work,
either.

You really should install glibc into a clean chroot/sysroot using =E2=80=9C=
make install
DESTDIR=3D=E2=80=A6=E2=80=9D, or use a package manager. This is the only wa=
y to avoid cruft from
a previous installation.
