Confirmed with current sources.  Really I'd have thought that for such a target
you'd want to add support for 16-bit systems to soft-fp (i.e. use a 16-bit type
internally rather than a 32-bit type).  But I think it does make sense to use
_FP_W_TYPE consistently in all these structures for the fractional bits.
