Hi, I contacted Mr. Milan Zamazal (whose name is noted on the gnats.el
file) but he noted that "I don't maintain nor use GNATS for several
years" and so I'm a bit stuck. Here is my problem - I seem to be
having problems with emacs/gnats' "edit-pr". After making changes to
my PR, I C-c C-c yet nothing happens and I get a,
''Input timeout from the server''
displayed in the message area.
Using,
emacs-21.3.1
gnats-4.0-2
gnats.el (no version noted, 'Copyright (C) 2000, 2001, 2002 Milan Zamazal')
Linux bozo/debian 2.4.22 #2 Thu Sep 18 20:47:45 PDT 2003 i686 GNU/Linux
I believe its due to gnats waiting to get a reply from me with regard
to what it is that I changed since I see "send the field change reason"
in the 'gnats-show-connection' buffer.
212 Ok, send field text now.
analyzed
.
210 Ok.
REPL 7 State
212 Ok.
analyzed
.
213 Ok, now send the field change reason.
LOCK 7 emacs
But I'm never prompted for what it is that I changed and thus the
problem (I'm guessing). Any other ideas ?
Do please let me know if I'm doing something wrong and how to fix this
problem. If there is a more updated version of gnats.el (or a patch)
do please let me know - I wasn't able to find one.
Regards,
- Nadim
