Hello,

	Have you checked up the "services" file under /etc if there is an
entry
	for the GNATS like the following:

	support	1529/tcp	#GNATS

I have Suse Linux running on my machine. There are both inetd.conf and
xinetd.conf in the /etc directory.  I have followin line in the inetd.conf:
support    stream  tcp     nowait  gnats
/usr/local/gnats/libexec/gnats/gnatsd gnatsd

But I think the gnatsd daemon is running, because I get an answer from this
daemon:
"520 You are not on the host access list: localhost (127.0.0.1)."
