I have been trying tirelessly to get Gnats to work and I think I've
found the problem, but I'm not sure how to fix it. The following
occurs:
telnet localhost 1529
User <my username> <my password>
Returns
user access level set to admin
Edit <pr #>
Returns
640 can't open file `'
Any idea on what couldn't be causing this? I have set the permissions
on the "lock" directory to 777 and the owener is gnats and the group is
bin.
Thanks

Do you need to set the database?
CHDB <database>

I did that and I'm sure I'm using the default database.

Are there any messages in syslog? e.g., on Linux it's in /var/log/messages
