I have of problem of installation of the daemon: I use the doc which is available at this site and it tells me to write this line in the file /etc/inetd.conf:
       support  stream  tcp  nowait  /usr.../gnatsd gnatsd
BUT, in Red Hat 7.1, there is no more inetd.conf!! It has been replaced by xinetd.conf and its difficulty...
I wrote a file named "support" in /etc/xinetd.d/ which contains:
service support{
     socket_type=stream
     protocol=tcp
     wait=no
     user=gnats
     server=/usr/local/libexec/gnats/gnatsd
     server_args=gnatsd
}
Of course, I wrote the needed line in /etc/services with the port 1529.
And now it doesn't work when I type:
#telnet localhost 1529
But it works when I type
# /usr/local/libexec/gnats/gnatsd gnatsd
So what's the matter ?
