Hi all,

I tried to generate GSL from CVS today, but that failed due to a missing
makefile in directory cdf.

I just ran ./autogen.sh and got the following:

Libtool is 1.5.2, automake 1.8.3, autoconf 2.59

Any hints?

Ah, I forgot: the problem arose with a fresh checkout via

cvs -z3 -d:ext:anoncvs@savannah.gnu.org:/cvsroot/gsl co gsl

I'll make a note to clean out the savannah repository, as we don't use
it anymore.
