hello my dear friends,
our group has got a new computer. on this computer
was redhat pre installed. well what can i say on
this computer (Xenon 2.4Ghz) my program doesnt work
there is something strange with qag.c! we have almost
the same computer (PLDi, gcc-2.95) where my pro is running.
here everything works perfectly!
i already
saw that there were such problems mentioned with
gcc-2.96 and redhat 7.0 connected with handling
of rounding (floating point aritm) - i dont know.
is the problem solved do i have just to use a compiler
option or do i have to reinstall gcc and gsl???
mfg,
filip

hallo gsl guys,
i am terrible sorry. it was a mistake in my programm!
and it is realy to ambarrassing to publish my stupidity!
well, the strange thing is that it was running under
gcc 2.95 in fact. ok, i will tell you what i did just to
amuse you.
1) i wanted to integrate a function which was an interpolated
function
2) so i defined a gsl function wich calculate the value
using spline interpolation
but i forgot to return the value - "return result;" was missing
well, on the new computer with gcc 2.95 by accident it was running
but under RH7 with gcc 2.96 there was a problem ;-)
ok, sorry
filipo
