I think that you can do basically anything you want with BSD-licensed code (at
least if it's the license version without advertising clause) as long as you
don't remove the original copyright notice, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSD_license
In particular, you can use it in GPL'ed or even proprietary code.
