I downloaded a *.ppt document from web and saved it 
on my disk.

I could not display and read it under 'AbiWord'
in KDE (file size 4.3MB)

The error message I got was: 
Application "/usr/lib/AbiSuite/bin/AbiWord_d" (process 1753) 
has crashed due to a fatal error (segmentation fault)

(My PC is INTEL PIV 1.7GHz + D850 MBoard + 256MB RDRAM
OS: RedHad Linux version 7.2
