Redhat Linux 7.1; gcc 2.96; binutils-2.10.91.0.2-3; XFree86-4.0.3-5; XFree86-devel-4.0.3-5
>Description:
gdb, tk and tix all failed the link. ld complained that it could not find -lX11. Adding "-L/usr/X11R6/lib" before "-lX11" in their respective Makefile(s) solved the problem.
