Version 6.7.1 works, but 6.8 and the current developer sources don't. -- Larry D. Pyeatt, PhD. Synopsis: Insight fails to run on system with tcl8.5 Responsible-Changed-From-To: unassigned->kseitz Responsible-Changed-By: kseitz Responsible-Changed-When: Wed Feb 4 19:11:29 2009 Responsible-Changed-Why: mine State-Changed-From-To: open->analyzed State-Changed-By: kseitz State-Changed-When: Wed Feb 4 19:11:29 2009 State-Changed-Why: Any chance that someone can look into this a bit? I have two fedora 10 boxes with tcl 8.5 on them, and it runs on all of them. My guess is that there is something wrong with the set_lib_paths_script in gdbtk_init (in generic/gdbtk.c), but this is only a guess since I cannot reproduce this here... http://sourceware.org/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl?cmd=view%20audit-trail&database=insight&pr=334
Synopsis: Insight fails to run on system with tcl8.5 State-Changed-From-To: analyzed->feedback State-Changed-By: kseitz State-Changed-When: Thu Jul 2 15:17:38 2009 State-Changed-Why: Any luck with this? If not, you've got two options left: use CVS version of insight/gdb (which allows you to use the system-supplied tcl/tk/itcl/iwidgets) or manually configure the tcl, tk, itcl directories in the tree to make sure they are using the correct in-tree sources. http://sourceware.org/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl?cmd=view%20audit-trail&database=insight&pr=334

I've been using precompiled versions of insight as I describe here: http://eleceng.dit.ie/frank/arm/comstick I must go back to slackware current and see if I can get the latest insight going again. f. kseitz@sources.redhat.com wrote: >Synopsis: Insight fails to run on system with tcl8.5 > >State-Changed-From-To: analyzed->feedback >State-Changed-By: kseitz >State-Changed-When: Thu Jul 2 15:17:38 2009 >State-Changed-Why: > Any luck with this?
