    I can't speak for 6.8(.1), since that is so very old, but CVS HEAD (and therefore the pending 7.0 release) does work for me, using the system-supplied Tcl, Tk, Itcl, etc.
    
    So you have two options right now: grab a snapshot or wait for 7.0. [There is a small outstanding buglet which I will commit a fix for by the end of the week. Look for it in Monday's snapshot.]

suse Enterprise Server 10 sp2 for x64, using gcc 4.1.2 for 64bit

on suse 64bit version, I build insight 6.8-1 from scratch, everything is OK, and when I debug the apps, find nothing can be inputed into the various windows, such as watch windows and etc.

on suse es10sp2, compile the src using raw compile method, under debug some apps, open the watch window, then you will find nothing can be input into it
