Yes, you can build insight with mingw. I do it occasionally.

The real problem is that I haven't checked-in patches to actually make 
this work. I plan to do this for the upcoming gdb 7.4 release.

So watch this list for a call for testers in the next week or two.

PS. We do not ship/distribute binaries. 6.6 is really ancient...
