Same here.  We have a Jabber server at work, but I almost never remember
to sign on.

I'm willing to experiment with IRC again.  I try it out every 6 years or
so and last about 3 days before giving up again, mostly because I
haven't thought of anything to say.

Who originally set up #kawa?  ChanServ says it was registered in 2008.
