Subject: new Kawa binary snapshot includes documentation in EPUB
Date: Sun, 26 Jun 2016 18:44:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <94d044a7-155d-7e69-57b2-9c5d9d869e7d@bothner.com> (raw)
I've uploaded a new binary snapshot:
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/kawa/kawa-2.1.9-20160626.zip
There is now a symlink which points to the latest version:
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/kawa/kawa-latest.zip
The major new feature this time is that the Kawa manual is included,
in the compressed EPUB3 format designed for ebook readers.
The manual is doc/kawa-manual.epub.
I also included script bin/browse-kawa-manual that browses
doc/kawa-manual.epub using the JavaFX WebView component,
as well as a web page server script so you can read the
manual in any modern browser without a plugin.
See doc/README-epub for more information.
