Subject: [Bug default/29689] New: ogre from fedora 37 asserts in libstdc++ when attempting a self compare
Date: Fri, 14 Oct 2022 19:48:12 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-29689-9487@http.sourceware.org/bugzilla/> (raw)

https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29689

            Bug ID: 29689
           Summary: ogre from fedora 37 asserts in libstdc++ when
                    attempting a self compare
           Product: libabigail
           Version: unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: default
          Assignee: dodji at redhat dot com
          Reporter: woodard at redhat dot com
                CC: libabigail at sourceware dot org
  Target Milestone: ---

fedabipkgdiff --self-compare -a --from fc37 ogre
Comparing the ABI of binaries between ogre-1.9.0-42.fc37.aarch64.rpm and
ogre-1.9.0-42.fc37.aarch64.rpm:

/usr/include/c++/12/bits/stl_vector.h:1230: std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::reference
std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::back() [with _Tp = const abigail::ir::type_base*;
_Alloc = std::allocator<const abigail::ir::type_base*>; reference = const
abigail::ir::type_base*&]: Assertion '!this->empty()' failed.

Comparing the ABI of binaries between ogre-devel-1.9.0-42.fc37.aarch64.rpm and
ogre-devel-1.9.0-42.fc37.aarch64.rpm:

The fact that this asserts in STL is really odd. It appears to be the only
package that does that.
