Hello,

If I configure the current glibc 2.2 snapshot for i386-pc-linux-gnu,
I get the following error from if I run make check:

cat inl-tester.out:

memset flunked test 2
memset flunked test 3
memset flunked test 4
memset flunked test 6
4 errors.

configure for i686-pc-linux-gnu works without problems.

I think this is from the following patch from Uli:

 sysdeps/i386/bits/string.h: Fix aliasing problems.

I couldn´t connect to cvs in the moment. Maybe somebody has
fixed this when I'm back tomorrow ;)
