I have added the patch except for this:

If there are no system dirs something is wrong.

> 	Check SHARED instead of PIC.

I won't add this isolated patch.  And I'm still not convinced it's
really necesary.

And HJ: Please finally learn that I do read the mailing list and don't
send me the patches twice.
