After updating to current CVS, I just managed to run make on x86-64.
Thanks a lot Roland for fixing hp-timing.h - it's really wicked that
this worked fine for glibc 2.2 that long...
I'm running the testsuite right now and will look into problems I
notice over the weekend,
Thanks to Jakub, Roland and Ulrich for all the hard work - especially
during the last weeks - on glibc 2.3!

I've committed now all of my patches to cvs mainline. This includes a
number of string optimizations and some bugfixes. Now the testsuite
passes all tests on x86-64,
