The freestanding library is always allowed to provide more features than the minimum set required. So it is certainly possible to expose the whole of the libc through if we wish to. We shouldn't do that at this stage of the GCC 11 cycle but we could consider it for GCC 12. Does the change I pushed earlier solve your build error with new_opa.cc though?
