Is there a reason why some of the bandwidth reports at
sourceware/bandwidth/ do not show ftp traffic?

Apologies if this has been mentioned before.

Probably a bug or something.

I don't know where error mail that this script emits might go (I
haven't seen these reports since I left Cygnus, and I kind of doubt
anyone else is looking after them).

My guess is that the ftp log was not put in /www/logs at the time
that the script ran (for whatever reason). Beyond that, your guess
is as good as mine. :-)

That sourceware/bandwidth/ page makes it seem like the ftp log
getting moved over (if that is the problem) is erratic for some
reason. Very strange.

BTW the bandwidth report script can be ran at any time without any
special permissions - it doesn't modify anything. It's probably
in /www/bin. There is probably also a wrapper script that places
its output in sourceware/bandwidth/ and updates the index.html in
there - I'd avoid running the wrapper script unless you do intend
to add things to that web page.
