I assume someone is geting into a mad panic over the attached :-) The
delivery failed because it couldn't create a file in /tmp :-(

Hi! This is the ezmlm program. I'm managing the
binutils@sourceware.cygnus.com mailing list.

Messages to you from the binutils mailing list seem to
have been bouncing. I've attached a copy of the first bounce
message I received.

If this message bounces too, I will send you a probe. If the probe bounces,
I will remove your address from the binutils mailing list,
without further notice.

I've kept a list of which messages from the binutils mailing list have
bounced from your address.

Copies of these messages may be in the archive.
To retrieve a set of messages 123-145 (a maximum of 100 per request),
send an empty message to:
   <binutils-get.123_145@sourceware.cygnus.com>

To receive a subject and author list for the last 100 or so messages,
send an empty message to:
   <binutils-index@sourceware.cygnus.com>

Here are the message numbers:

   8634

Someone should get into a mad panic, but not anybody on overseers.
The error occurred on runyon.cygnus.com.

Um, yeah. That's right. I've got about six messages in my inbox from
various people about this. I have already sent a heads up to sysadmin here.

This is not a sources.redhat.com problem. We had some problems on an internal
mail server last week and it looks like it took a while for sources.redhat.com
to notice the problem.

Some background info. The reason it took sources a while to notice
the problem is the way that ezmlm behaves. When ezmlm gets a bounce
message, as it did in this case, it files it. After the bounce
message has been sitting around for some period of time, I think 10
days, ezmlm sends a probe message to the address, listing all the
messages which bounced. If that probe message also bounces, ezmlm
automatically unsubscribes the address.

The general idea is to automatically unsubscribe bouncing addresses,
but to not cut people off too quickly if their mail system breaks for
a little while.

So this is a case of the system working properly. Although a message
to Andrew bounced, he was not removed from the mailing list, and he
was informed about the bounced message and told how to retrieve it.
Had messages to Andrew continued to bounce, he would have been
silently removed from the mailing list.

Um, yeah. That's right. I've got about six messages in my inbox from
various people about this. I have already sent a heads up to sysadmin here.

This is not a sources.redhat.com problem. We had some problems on an internal
mail server last week and it looks like it took a while for sources.redhat.com
to notice the problem.

Sorry, I'll go back to panicing in private :-)
