Hi -

While investigating this just a tad, it occurred to me that
anoncvs should not require such a huge membership list any
more.  Now that cvs lock files are put someplace other than
the project tree, UNIX "other" permissions should be enough
for anoncvs to work.  And indeed on a few tests, it does work.

(Sorry, couldn't find anything relevant with a few search probes.)

I am not familiar with uberbaum's intricacies, but does anoncvs have
to lock anything there?  Are some directories accidentally just not
"chmod o+rx"?

Search the overseers archives.  The locking doesn't work for uberbaum.

I think the workaround that was put in for sourceware should also be put in for gcc's cvsweb.
