Dear overseers,
Some time between "30 Oct 2005 02:09:02 -0000" and "30 Oct 2005 17:41:15
-0000" the Sender field on mail sent from the binutils list changed from
"binutils-owner@sources.redhat.com" to "binutils-owner@sourceware.org".
Since this affects the way my list mail is handled, can you advise me on
whether this was an intended and perminant change? Or should I be using
some other field to filter that is less subject to change?

It is a permanent change; sourceware.org is the preferred name of the
system.
