Hi overseers,
the gitweb pages come with a header which contains the URLs to the
git repository, e.g.:
https://sourceware.org/git/gitweb.cgi?p=binutils-gdb.git:
description gdb and binutils
owner tromey@redhat.com
last change Thu, 27 Aug 2015 05:00:16 +0000 (02:00 -0300)
URL git://sourceware.org/git/binutils-gdb.git
ssh://sourceware.org/git/binutils-gdb.git
http://sourceware.org/git/binutils-gdb.git
The http URL is, in theory, non-existant, and can result in problems
with aggressive company firewalls.
Therefore, shouldn't the "http" URL ideally be a "https" URL on all
gitweb pages?
Thanks,
Corinna

Sorry, not sure what you mean. While there may be some
connection-rate-limiting applied at the firewall or httpd level,
it'd be the same for http vs https.
