The archives use the standard mailman format. We don't plan on making site-specific modifications to mailman since we want to employ to only supported software, unlike the previous incarnation of sourceware.org/gcc.gnu.org/cygwin.com. This has been discussed many times since we switched to new hardware and a newer OS release. In a perfect world we wouldn't have to keep answering these types of questions. I guess we must need a FAQ. We haven't implemented mailing list search yet and maybe not ever. The easiest way I've found to search is to google: site:sourceware.org
