As a point of interest in case it happens to be relevant, a website I am responsible for elsewhere uses URLs that are not dissimilar, and we have recorded a lot of incorrect requests in the logs. The common factor between most of them was the client being IE 7.0 beta. If you are using IE7, I recommend downgrading - it appears to be buggy.
