Perhaps related: today I noticed something odd:
updating an old binutils clone, it took something like 15 minutes.
That was an hour or two ago.

I stopped a bunch of cygwin/upset scripts, which seemed to be
running unintentionally concurrently, bogging the machine down.
Please try again and let me know iff the problem persists.
