The last time I checked, the message contained a text and html version
of the message. I've noticed this happening in the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, I (i.e., mutt) only forwarded the text version. I'll be
on the lookout for this if it happens again. If it really is a problem
with spamassasin's detection of html mail, I'll fix it.

Really? Interesting.
AFAIK, there is no code in BugMail.pm to format things as html
-bash-3.00$ grep -i html BugMail.pm
-bash-3.00$ pwd
/www/gcc/bugzilla/Bugzilla
If there really is html mail going out with bugzilla, i'd love to see
it so i can find where it is generated and disable it (Bugzilla
bugmail contains nothing that is worth formatting in html)

Thanks!
Like I said, if bugzilla is sending html mail, we should definitely stop it.

I've attached another (compressed) message. It is multi-part. The
second is html and it looks like something formatted it to allow nice
tabular viewing.

ah, i see.
This is not the standard bugmail, this is the stupid whining portion
of bugzilla where you can tell it to email you bugs every so often.
I'll see if anybody has an objection to removing the html part.
